Is it possible to create new documents offline with the web app or do you need to install the android app versions of google docs, sheets, etc.?Įdit: This is what it looks like when i click the google docs icon with W-Fi turned off. However if I turn WiFi off and click on the google docs icon it just opens a chrome tab saying loading and nothing happens, no matter how long I leave it. I have ticked the use offline options in the google web apps and have the google docs offline extension installed (it came pre installed as far as I can tell), so thought that should be enough. I'm very new to using a Chromebook and I'm just wondering how exactly using it offline is meant to work.
